A major milestone in the US Air Force F-22 Raptor program was reached on February 7, 2007, when 12 F-22s landed at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, en route to Kadena Air Base, Japan.
The aircraft belong to the 27th Fighter Squadron from Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.

NASA says the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) instrument on the Hubble Space Telescope has stopped working, and initial data implicates a power failure on the so-called Side B electronics package.
Hubble entered a safemode at 7:34 am EST on January 27, 2007, according to NASA.
Installed aboard Hubble during a March 2002, servicing mission, the ACS is really several devices in one module, which includes three electronic cameras, filters and dispersers that detect light from the ultraviolet to the near infrared.

Astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS) start the new year with new equipment as they prepared a second oxygen-generating system, upgraded soundproofing in the living
quarters and unpacked supplies delivered by space shuttle Discovery's STS-116 mission just before Christmas.
Station Expedition 14 Commander Michael Lopez-Alegria and Flight Engineer Suni Williams spent most of the first week of 2007 installing the U.S. oxygen generation system activation kit
in the Destiny laboratory. The parts had been delivered on shuttle mission STS-121 in July 2006. The new generator will supplement the Russian Elektron oxygen system on the station.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Adam Air flight 574 lost contact with air traffic controllers the morning of January 1, 2007, and is assumed to have crashed in Indonesia.
The NTSB said the flight was conducted by a Boeing 737-400 (PK-KKW) and was supposed to fly a route from Java to Salawesi. There were approximately 100 persons aboard.

Space Shuttle Discovery landed safely on Friday, December 22, 2006, after a 13-day trip traveling more than 5.3 million miles. Discovery's STS-116 mission reconfigured the International Space Station's (ISS) power and cooling systems from a temporary setup to a permanent mode and added a new piece to the ISS backbone.
