In a scene straight out of a science fiction movie NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has released images taken by their Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecraft showing Martian avalanches, in progress, near the north pole of the red planet.
NASA says these false color pictures were taken February 19th by the orbiter's High Resolution Imaging Experiment, or HiRISE system, as the robotic spaceship was surveying the polar region to monitor seasonal changes in the carbon-dioxide or CO2 frost.

Airline News - Gale force winds nearly caused a Lufthansa Airbus A320 to strike the left wingtip as it attempted to land in Hamburg, Germany.
The strong crosswinds forced the crew to abort the landing and go around.
Published reports indicate the plane carried 131 passengers and did manage to land without further trouble on the next attempt.

AeroSpaceNews.com - A United States Air Force B-2 Stealth Bomber has crashed on Guam. The Air Force says both pilots ejected and are safe.
It's the first acknowledged crash of a B-2 since the plane become known to the public and operational.

AeroSpaceNews.com - High seas in the north Pacific Ocean failed to force the Navy to wait another day before launching a heat-seeking missile on a mission to shoot down a wayward U.S. spy satellite, the Pentagon said Wednesday.
Initial reports indicate the missile hit the target but it is unknown if the fuel tank was destroyed. See video of the missile impact with the spy satellite below.
