Issued to NATO pilots and pilots of the German Luftwaffe, the Air Force Chrono has had to complete several trials before it was deemed suitable for air force use. Powered by the rare Lemania 5100 automatic movement, this chronograph was also the first watch to feature integrated push pieces, for use while wearing gloves. Unbelievably, the watch is resistant to 200 meters in spite of the pushers. The large, 43 mm stainless steel case with screw in crown is attached to a military leather strap and features a centered red chronograph minutes hand, 24-hour indicator at the 12 o’clock position, and day and date display. The movement has a 45 hour power reserve and is shock and vibration resistant at an acceleration of 7 g in all directions or vibrations of 4 Hz and 20mm amplitude; compression resistant for usage up to 15,000 m above M.S.L.
