AeroSpaceNews.com is seeking the best airplane pictures from the world's Top Guns of aviation photography. The website's contest offers free entry, a nice prize and fun. Professional and amateur entrants are invited from around the world in this truly global hot pic competition.

AeroSpaceNews.com is pleased to announce the first in a regular series of fun and family friendly aviation, airline, military and space photo contests.

www.AeroSpaceNews.com is using the contest to showcase its new and user interactive airplane picture gallery. Founded by photographer and award winning film maker Craig Schmitman, the science and technology news magazine offers features and news on the leading edge of aerospace achievements illustrated by stunning pictures and moving images.

Entering the contest, registering on the site, viewing and voting on the picture entrants are all completely free!

AeroSpaceNews.com is seeking entrants worldwide from amateurs and professionals alike. The pictures may be of any air or space subject, flying, or on static display, taken at an airshow, at any time.

The winner, selected by votes entered by registered users on AeroSpaceNews.com, gets a personal copy of the download edition of Tiltrotor and The Future (worth aprox $29.95)

Tiltrotor and The Future is an hour long video documentary on the origins of the tiltrotor, convertiplanes, the X/V-3 and X/V-15 technology demonstration efforts, and the mission and technology behind today's awesome Bell/Boeing U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey. The U.S. Air Force is slated to receive its own variant, the CV-22 for special operations.

The contest is open and voting runs from October 28, 2005, through January 15, 2006. Complete contest rules are posted on AeroSpaceNews.com ( http://www.AeroSpaceNews.com ).

Aviation and space enthusiasts are among the most passionate and skilled photographers imaginable. The competition is expected to be very tough. Votes are counted from the moment the contest starts so hurry and upload your entries now. Come on - let's see if you are one of the Top Guns!

The World's Best Airshow Airplane Picture Contest Rules:

Acceptable Subject Matter:
Any air or space subject, flying or on static display, taken at an airshow.

We hate rules, but hey, it’s 2005, we gotta have a few -

1) The World's Best Airshow Airplane Picture Contest runs from October 28, 2005, through January 15, 2006.
2) The winning picture must belong to, and be the copyrighted property of, the registered user of the AeroSpaceNews.com Airplane Picture Gallery who uploaded the picture.
3) The winning picture will be determined by the votes tabulated by the AeroSpaceNews.com Aviation and Space Picture Gallery "Rating" system results at 9 am, PST, the morning of January 16, 2006.
4) Only one prize will be awarded, a personal copy of the download edition of Tiltrotor and The Future (worth $29.95)
5) In the event of a tie vote, AeroSpaceNews.com reserves the right to issue two prizes (one each) to the winning entrants. It may not be possible for a tie vote, but this is our first contest.
6) If there are insufficient entries or votes at the sole discretion of AeroSpaceNews.com, no winner or prize will be awarded.
7) You may not vote for your pictures nor ask others to vote for your pictures.
8) Duplicate registrations (we log IP addresses) will disqualify your entry and may result in banning your registration on AeroSpaceNews.com
9) Your entry into the World's Best Airshow Pictures Contest constitutes your agreement to be bound by each and every one of the above conditions and agreement to them as a condition of your entry into the World's Best Airshow Pictures Contest. 10) That’s it. Have fun!

TO VOTE:
1) Register at the "Register" link above and confirm your registration (an e-mail from us to you will include a link for you to click to confirm you are "real").
2) Login at this link after you have confirmed your registration.
3) Visit the contest album.
4) "Rate" (vote for) the entrants: View each picture full sized. Below the picture are a series of stars and text that says "Rate this file." More stars (all the way to the right side) is a higher score. Click on the stars you want to award or rate the entrant.
5) You can vote for more than one picture, but not more than once for each picture.
6) That's it! Free and fun.

After you register and login per the instructions above, just upload your picture to the correct contest album.
