The winner, selected by votes entered by registered users on AeroSpaceNews.com, gets a personal copy of the download edition of Tiltrotor and The Future (worth aprox $29.95)
Tiltrotor and The Future is an hour long video documentary on the origins of the tiltrotor, convertiplanes, the X/V-3 and X/V-15 technology demonstration efforts, and the mission and technology behind today's awesome Bell/Boeing U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey. The U.S. Air Force is slated to receive its own variant, the CV-22 for special operations.

Acceptable Subject Matter:
Any air or space subject, flying or on static display, taken at an airshow.
We hate rules, but hey, it’s 2005, we gotta have a few -
1) The World's Best Airshow Airplane Picture Contest runs from October 28, 2005, through January 15, 2006.
2) The winning picture must belong to, and be the copyrighted property of, the registered user of the AeroSpaceNews.com Airplane Picture Gallery who uploaded the picture.
3) The winning picture will be determined by the votes tabulated by the AeroSpaceNews.com Aviation and Space Picture Gallery "Rating" system results at 9 am, PST, the morning of January 16, 2006.
4) Only one prize will be awarded, a personal copy of the download edition of Tiltrotor and The Future (worth $29.95)
5) In the event of a tie vote, AeroSpaceNews.com reserves the right to issue two prizes (one each) to the winning entrants. It may not be possible for a tie vote, but this is our first contest.
6) If there are insufficient entries or votes at the sole discretion of AeroSpaceNews.com, no winner or prize will be awarded.
7) You may not vote for your pictures nor ask others to vote for your pictures.
8) Duplicate registrations (we log IP addresses) will disqualify your entry and may result in banning your registration on AeroSpaceNews.com
