Garuda 200 - Garuda Indonesia Flight 200
Garuda Indonesia Flight 200 crashed March 7, 2007, while landing at Yogyakarta Airport, Indonesia. It was a Boeing 737-400 (PK-GZC). The flight departed from Jakarta, Indonesia with 133 people on board.

KAL 007 - Korean Air Flight 007
The highly controversial Korean Airlines Flight 007 (aka KAL 007), carrying 269 passengers from Alaska to Seoul, Korea on the last leg of a flight from New York, was shot down just as it was leaving the airspace of the former Soviet Union in September 1983. This is a plane crash that never should have happened.
