A newspaper has reported that crew flying secret flights on behalf of the US Government is suing
Vision Air in Federal Court for withholding
hazard pay they earned flying into
Iraq and
Afghanistan.
Vision Air is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
They have a public operation that includes sight-seeing flights (scenic tours) and casino sorties.
Any crew care to shed some light on this?
A judge has ordered the case files sealed (for now) but some of the records were made public briefly as a result of the filing.
Rumors are the flights included prisoners (so-called
Secret Rendition),
Blackwater Security,
CIA and State Department staff.
Your thoughts and insight are welcome but please keep it civil.
NOT a Vision Air B-737 - it is a Cathay 747-400 on short approach to Kai Tak in Hong Kong:
