Stock photography in high definition of the Boeing 747 that later crashed as TWA Flight 800. It was a Boeing 747-100.

The official NTSB report describes it this way: In-flight breakup over the Atlantic Ocean of TWA Flight 800. It was a Boeing 747-131, with a registration number of N93119. The crash occurred near East Moriches, New York on July 17, 1996.

These pictures were taken at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) before the accident (DUH!) at a time when Trans World Airlines was going through financial troubles. The plane had wrinkles, missing paint and lotsa wear and tear.
