Amarillo, Texas may see as many as 1,300 aviation jobs by 2012 as Bell Helicopter continues to grow its V-22 Osprey tiltrotor, UH-1Y and AH-1Z helicopter production capacity.

There was a groundbreaking ceremony on 13 October 2009 for a new 137,000 square foot hangar to support H-1 helicopter program requirements.

During the event a Bell Helicopter executive said that Bell had added some 200 aerospace jobs just this year.
