MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor compatible with expedtionary airfield

According to a story published in Marine Corps News, the Bell-Boeing / US Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor has been cleared for operations on the AM2 Mat system used to operate from remote locations called expeditionary airfields.

The tests were conducted in early December 2006 at Camp Lejeune, NC.

The story says there were issues raised by the heat from V-22 engines and pressure which I imagine means landing weight, but could mean exhaust gases, the article did not say. I've seen the AV-8B Harrier operate from this same system and can't imagine there are more heat issues with the V-22 Osprey than those seen with the V/STOL Harrier.
